To blanch or not to blanch

I seem to have an excess of sprouts so I aim to freeze some. Do I blanch these or just "bag 'em up and bang 'em in"? Thanks Hobs x

I haven't blanched any veg (mostly h.g., some shop bought) for years and have things perfectly happily in the freezer and good to eat for up to 12 months.

I gave my blanching basket away and spend the time doing something more interesting instead........... :rotfl:
