To blanch or not to blanch

I haven't blanched any veg (mostly h.g., some shop bought) for years and have things perfectly happily in the freezer and good to eat for up to 12 months.
I gave my blanching basket away and spend the time doing something more interesting instead........... :rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
