graduate loans
Hi
I just graduated from my masters course last month. My family paid for most of my tuition fees on the basis that i would pay them back.
I now wanted to get a loan of 3000 to pay them back the fees back and also to fund my driving lessons.
I rang my bank - Barclays who gave me a quote of 19.5% APR for a unsecured loan. I then went on their website and read about graduate loans they offer. On moneyfacts.co.uk website is states that the APR can be lower for a graduate loan than that of a personal loan.
What i wanted to ask is that when i go to my branch to apply for a graduate loan what reason should i tell them that i need the 3000 for. Will the reason affect my eligabilty cos if i say to them i already owe this money will that look worse than saying i need this money to start up a new life for example or do they expect graduates to be in education debt anyway.
