Need a New Mattress

Afternoon all,

The wife and I have been having bad back and now she has found out she is pregnant again I want to buy a new king size mattress. Argos had a great deal on the Silentnight Avante King Size Memory Mattress £660 down to £330 but offer has now ended.


Another site said this was a superb mattress and good seller. But the low price puts me off.

Hi Fleetingmind, Just bought a King Size Memory mattress from Netto of all places, i picked it up last sunday for £199 it's 8 inches thick and just superb for my bad back. Worth a call to your nearest store if only to take a look for yourself.

I have a medical problem which means that I suffer from poor sleep and constantly ache.

I have spent a lot of money over the last few years buying different types of mattresses for a decent nights kip but to no avail until a few months ago.

I bought a mattress from ebay (link below) and it's the BEST mattress I've EVER had...I now sleep like a baby, ache much less and wake fully refreshed every day!

The cost is £250 (for a double) & it includes delivery. The mattress is really heavy but the guys that delivered it very kindly took it upstairs for me.

I have NO connection with the seller - apart from the fact that I bought one of his mattresses & am SO impressed...I have to let as many people know how much they're missing out on a brilliant nights sleep...and my health has improved too!

I bought the extra firm one, but i would recommend you pick the comfort version unless you are used to a very firm mattress.

Its easily as good as the expensive pocket sprung mattress i had before it.
It was delivered next day too ( and no delivery charge !! ).
I can very highly recommend them.

If you go for a memory foam model , be aware there is a learning period. It can take a week or two to get used to them. The non-memory foam version like i bought is easier to get used to, as it does not restrict your movement as much.

This is the same one I had prior to me buying the pocket sprung mattress I mentioned in my post. I did have it for almost a year but then found it not to be all that supportive eventually, was nice and light in weight tho but believe me...the one I have now is the dogs doodars!!

Hi We Bought A Kingsize Memory Foam Matress From Ebay. Just Cannot Praise It Enough Its Wonderful. Never Realised What Proper Sleep Was Until We Got That.

After lots of research we bought one from https://www.memory-mattress.co.uk. They ranked 6th in the Which mattress report (they sell the Flexcell mattresses but for about half the normal price).

We were really worried about getting the wrong one and making an expensive mistake, but we had a 2 week trial period and honestly found this mattress to be amazing. Have had it for probably 6-8 weeks now, and I feel so much better. I used to get terrible debilitating headaches/neck pain every single day but now I don't even need to visit the chiropractor and I no longer feel my life is restricted. Best thing we ever bought :T

i was after one myself recently and after a lot of looking around bought a memory foam one off ebay..cant remember the seller but there were only 2 sellers selling the 10" foam mattress (6" foam and 4" memory foam). I picked one up for £150 roughly in total.

Absolutely fantastic, best night sleep ive ever had - you just sink into it.

Id reccomend memory foam mattress and make sure its a minimum of at least 4" memory foam
