Final Salary Settlement

  • I work in the IT industry but the company itself is Indian and they try and sometimes struggle with our employment laws and think they can get away and treat the onshore staff the same as offshore.

I!!!8217;m sure even for the company to deduct from your salary they need to give you suitable notice. I could try and press them with unlawful deduction and threaten legal action. They normally tend to buckle when you threaten legal action.

So why are you asking strangers on the internet if you already know how to get them to do what you want? Unless its to make an oblique racist reference.

  • I don!!!8217;t know how to get what I what. Sometimes they give in but sometimes they do not. I came on here to get some advice on my position and if it was worth even putting up a fight to get it changed as I leave the company next week and time is vast running out. What they are doing could be perfectly legal but it may also be illegal. That is why I came on here to ask no matter what you may think.

Far from any racist reference at all and to insuniuate that is just ludicrous and actually quite insulting to myself.

Given that your contract of employment should include details of pay dates, this does seem very odd...

Who has actually told you that you aren't getting anything until the end of March - your boss, or someone from HR/ payroll?

Here is the pay section from my contract.

“You will be paid monthly in arrears to your bank account on the last working day in each month”

If you want legal advice ask a lawyer rather than strangers on the internet.
