Hi,
I was thinking of changing my current account to take advantage of the switching offers. I have been with my current bank for 20 years and was thinking of applying for a mortgage in June. Would a prospective bank look negatively on my application if my current account was reasonably new?
Thanks

Some might.
Some won't.
Typically, clearing banks like HSBC, Barclays and NatWest might have more of an issue with this than the likes of Nationwide, Halifax and Santander.
