As a newly divorced woman I am now in the process of buying a property for myself. My ex husband and I had a commercial mortgage (on an equestrian property) am I now classed as a first time buyer for a residential mortgage ?

You're typically a first time buyer if;
Youve never owned a home previously, either in the UK or abroad
You only own, or have owned, a commercial property; such as a shop, restaurant, or salon that has no living space attached to it (such as a pub with upstairs accomodation).
Youve never owned a home previously, anywhere in the world, and are looking to purchase a buy-to-let home.0
