Just looking for some advise (again)
So last night we found out our mortgage offer fell 43k short of the asking price of our house. After 2 months of back and forth this was a pretty big blow for us.
So my dad came to see me about it all and kindly offered to gift us the £43k we are short by. This would be done via him releasing money in his own house he owns outright. I’m not sure what time time frame on something like that is which is my first worry
My second worry is will the lender be ok with this?. We can prove where it comes from and my dad has already said he will sign to say it’s a gift and not a loan
Any thoughts on it would be great guys
And not to predict any rudeness but yes my dad has thought this through he offered the money when I first started looking as he wanted me to keep some cash back from the house purchase for my future but he didn’t realise just how expensive the market has got since he purchased. I declined it then as I was happy to do it on my own

Yes lenders are OK with gifted deposits.
After all, if they weren't, there wouldn't be a term "gifted deposit"0
