RBS Debt Screening

Hi,

I’ve been accepted to work at rbs, providing I pass all of the pre-screening. I’ve never had any CCJ’s and do not have an overdraft. However, I have about £650 in loans. Will this effect the debt part of it? Will I be rejected because of it?

Thanks!

I rather think that is up to RBS, don't you? All anyone else can do is guess; what good is that?

Applying common sense to the situation, £650 is not a huge amount provided it is from a reputable loan company or, better yet, a bank. If it is a payday loan, that is a different matter, I would imagine.

Are the payments up to date? Have you ever been late with one? If the answers are "yes" and "no" in that order and the loan is from a bank or similar, I would doubt it would be a stumbling block. How many of us have no debt whatsoever in this day and age?
