Facebook make post / visitor post

Very weird lots of FB pages don't have a MAKE POST icon

SO how do people make a VISITOR POST ?

My account can't seem to see make posts but other peoples can. dunno why, whether it's some kind of block or a glitch. Really annoying when it's a comp where you have to post something on their page not as a comment as I can't enter. Mine's been like this for a couple of weeks.

Many pages turn it off deliberately (I believe Morrisons have done, so people air their complaints on the company's posts instead)

Facebook changed the way pages work a little while ago. To make a visitor post now, you need to click on "posts" down the side of the page and the "write post" option should be there if the page allows visitors to write on their wall.

No "write post" option for me with chrome - a few (much less than usual) have posted on one site I use so the page allows it.

That's odd! Have you tried "incognito" mode?

No write post option for me on any pages either - disappeared a wee while back and can't get it but I know others can. Tried incognito and that doesn't work either. I get a box to let me search for posts and I can see other people's posts but no option to write them.

I've just tried it and no different (same with edge) I can see and comment on posts by the page and visitor posts but not start a visitor post.

(I can still start posts in groups or on friends walls)

It seems to be a glitch on the desktop site, there's no way to add a post even when the page allows visitor posts. Fortunately the mobile site will work on a computer so you can get around it by changing www to m in the address bar to open the facebook page from the mobile site, scroll down until you see the Visitor Posts heading then click on the "Make Post" icon underneath.
