Kitchen Roll getting WIDER!!! -----SOLUTION ????

Have you noticed Kitchen Paper Towel / Roll are getting wider!!!!

What is the budget / DIY solution to hang them up as my current standard wooden dispenser accommodates longer BUT not wider rolls??

Buy a different make. The vast majority as the same size as they've always been!

'Standard' width is 21cm, so you must be buying from quite an unusual source - and have a funny sized holder. Go into any supermarket with a tape measure and check.

Googling potential new holders, others are having the same problem !


So many rolls about and particularly on offer online, I didn’t think so many manufacturers would make so many widths !

I've just measured the kitchen roll I always buy and it's 23 cm. It's Sainsbury's Ultra Absorbent, the brand called Plenty is also that size. From my experience, most standard rolls are 21 cm. I have to look out for the slightly longer ones to fit my holder.

Made a Bohemian one with some fancy rope.:beer:

A nice (DIY) beaded one (YouTube has some) would look fancy and the rolls can be big as they like :eek: :rotfl:

you managed to find something that is actually getting bigger,
thats quite an acheivement as everything else seems to be shrinking, less in package etc

1. Buy a new holder
or
2. Take some sheets off the new roll, then roll round the old inner tube from the last roll, and keep until the other roll runs out
or
3. Buy another product that fits your existing holder.
