As this is the Northern Ireland board I am assuming that you live in Northern Ireland.

blackpongo.......can I ask what area you live in, as this may make it easier for people to give recommendations.

A mate of my Dad's has been in the paving/patio business for years and does work all over Northern Ireland. He's based in Donegal. I'll be talking to my Dad later - I can find out more then if you wish.

If you are in the Bangor area then we got a fantastic job done by Stewart Kennedy - and he was not overly difficult to pay (compared to some others). We used him because of the good recommendations he was getting.

The only thing is he can be hard to get hold off and, like most builders these days, you have to chase them ... why is this the case?

What did you get done, and how much was it?

I am planning to get our front done this summer, and would love any info.

    Cheers, Des.

    Hi Des,
We got a large tiered patio area built with raised flower beds and surrounding wall; we also got a flagged patio area extended and a large slate bed added with a water feature; there were a few other things he did as well. Owing to technical problems (ie. my portable disk drive is up the proverbial without a paddle) I only have one photo available (and its not a great one at that) - have a look at these photies (it is some pictures of my dogs but the patio area is visible in one of them. The bit that impressed me was how little damage he did to the rest of my lawn and how clean and tidy his men were.

We chose him because he had done several driveways in the area and had done a great job on them all. PM me if you need any further info.
