Benefit from no salary sacrif. AND tax free ccare?

Hi folks,

new here and I'm sure a similar question would have been asked before, but i'm having trouble finding a good answer.

Everything I've seen seems to point to childcare vouchers (which we have at the moment) and tax free childcare being quite similar unless you're in quite specific circumstances.

Is it right though that, if moving from vouchers to TFC then you no longer have the salary sacrifice of the vouchers, so your gross salary goes up by that amount AND you can potentially maximise the TFC amount? It seems to me if that were the case then it could actually be quite beneficial moving to TFC - but I feel like I must be missing something basic somewhere.

If anyone could clarify for me, or point me in a good direction, that'd be very handy please!
