    I'm confused now.
If I started at the end of Ocotber, wouldn't I then get 2 days holiday by the end of Dec.
It says I would get 2/3rds of a day off in your earlier post.

Have a read here and see if these help

The second one is for employers to work out leave entitlement but you can use it to work out what you should be getting.

Whatever number of days you are entitled to are not in addition to bank holidays they are included.

Hmm, so still not really sure where I stand.
Tomorrow they are telling me if I've got the job or not. Trouble is I desperatley need it, but don't want to be fobbed off with dodgy rules about holiday entitlement.

I did ask the question about if we got double pay if we had to work a bank holiday and the interviewer commented that she didn;t do the job for money, she did it because she loved it.
Not in my case, I do it for the money and then it's only minimum wage.

So presumably this person does not get paid?! Is she a volunteer of some sort?
Many places no longer pay extra for weekends, bank holidays, night working, it is just a fact of life now.

He/she (sorry, don't know if PasturesNew is male or female lol) was giving an example from the old holiday entitlement.

You're now entitled to 24 days per year (including bank holidays), so that works out to 2 days per month. So you can take 4 days if you start at the beginning of november.

    Thanks everyone for your help.
As for the lady who said she did it for love, she does get paid, but she says not much for a supervisor role.
She said I can't do it for the money as it's rubbish pay, I do it because I like it.
If only other people were that lucky. I would only be doing it to pay the bills as it's a £1 an hour less to what I normally get paid in my other jobs, but with the lack of jobs being offered since July, then I have no option but to accept it if I get offered the job.

I won't have enough to pay my bills even on a 35 week contract, but what else can I do.
I would rather have a job with more money, but there arent;' any about at the moment.

    xx
