The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, on a B&B basis, at Glenapp Castle, a five-star Relais & Châteaux hotel overlooking the Firth of Clyde, on the Ayrshire coast. A striking Scottish baronial castle built in 1870, it has just 17 rooms and suites and is set in 36 acres of grounds, home to many exotic plants and an Italian garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll. The surrounding countryside offers all kinds of country pursuits, including foraging, deer-stalking and fly-fishing, and guests can explore the coast by boat.
The prize includes one six-course gourmet dinner for two (excluding drinks) in the hotel's award-winning restaurant. It must be taken in March, April, May, November or December 2018, subject to availability and excluding public holidays.
