HBOS mortgage help.

We have had our HBOS mortgage since 2008 and been on 4.95% interest since 2013. I didn't think we would get a remortgage while we have the debt so never looked at it. We have never missed a payment so everything is up to date.
I've been on my halifax banking today and looking at the mortgage. It looks like we could just change it to a new fix deal but it isn't allowing me to put in the account number.
So although it is showing on my halifax account, does this mean i would have to go through BOS? Or would we just have to do a whole remortgage? The halifax deals are the better option interest wise. It looks like it could save us about £100 a month if we could switch it.
Thank you for any help.

Has your mortgage account number been changed?
Can you view our account online and check the details.
Alternatively you hold an account that requires a review before they'll offer you a new product.0 -
Thank you for replying. I have no idea about the number changing, i'm not sure where any old paperwork is to check (i will have it somewhere, i'm a bit of an(unorganised) horder).
The account shows when i look at my halifax accounts but has BOS wrote at the side of it.
The form that's filled in to apply for the new rate asks for account number, DOB and postcode. I've put them all in and it says the details don't match, i can only think it's the account number.
The number starts 70.. which seems to be BOS but there is nothing available for them online, i have to call.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

There is a really simple way to sort this out.
Call them and do it over the phone.0 -
Thank you. I know phoning is the only way to find out really.
With anxiety and a hate of using the phone (the thought actually makes me feel sick), I was really looking forward to being able to do it online.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
