I assume that anyone using multiple packs to dye, say a sofa cover, used all the packs together in the machine at the same time and not 1 after another to build up the colour?0

I have a 3 seater, 2 seater and armchair, all in a very pale yellow, almost cream colour. I want to dye them to a rich brown. Has anyone got any recommendations on what dye is best and will I need a pre-dye?
ThanksWhy pay more if you can pay less!! :j:j:j0 -
Did you go ahead blackcat?
I have yellow caravan covers and I'd like them grey.
Not sure of the fabric . Looks like needlecord but may contain polyester.0 -
Well, I'm so glad I joined this thread.
Never thought to ring the Dylon helpline and straight away the lady told me they won't dye on account of fire proofing.
So its recovering then.0 -
[QUOTE=ragz;3154497. However the white is not suitable with little ones around (I tell them it's ornamental, not for sitting on!!) so I'm going to dye it navy to mach the other so I can use it without being paranoid. It's only a small 2 seater so shouldn't be too hard, just need to weigh the covers!
Thanks for all the great advice on this thread (sorry for bumping!)[/QUOTE]
Why can't you simply cover the white sofa with an ornamental throw which can be washed whenever it gets grubby?0 -
Can I dye Jumbo Cord Sofa Covers. I'm not sure. Want to go from Cream to Brown.0
