Who inform when re-mortgaged?

Options
I have just completed my re-mortgage. Can anyone advise who I need to inform apart from my bank. I am thinking life and home insurance. Is there anyone else? Thanks in advance.

  • why do you need to inform anyone? your current provider will stop taking the payments and new provider will start. Can't see it being anything to do with life and home insurance.

I thought I had to tell my insurance companies when I took out the policies who my mortgage provider was. I could be wrong though?!

If your new lender wants their interest to be noted on your buildings policy then you should have told the insurers (though if they were that bothered about it, it would already have been done).

Not sure why life insurers would want to know?
