May be some good news coming, OH just had a potential job offer, if all paperwork comes through ok then it's his
will fit in with his self employed work, as its only afternoons, and a 6 month contract. With that thing us self employed people never hear, paid holiday!
Kitchen is painted, cant wait for the units to arrive next Tuesday now!
Living room is almost finished rewiring, bit of a set back as my electrician has been admitted to hospital, but got a family member on it now. That needs plastering next, though Im not sure if that will be done before or after the staircase is replaced.
My dad seems to be avoiding the bathroom, which I'd rather he prioritise! Perhaps if I order the bath and stick it in front of him it will help! But two walls need finishing yet.
Put some cash aside to OP but not doing it yet, just incase. Going to set up a regular saver account for Halifax I think, once I read the small print.
I do a lot of crafty bits, and am thinking that I can decorate the house with pictures (cross stitch etc) and rugs etc that I've made. Nothing too obviously handmade but there are lots of nice designs about, and cheap kits to be found on ebay. Just been working on a Christmas cross stitch sampler, next too early for Christmas!Mortgage start date 19 January 2018, end Jan 2043.

Hi, I havent posted in a while
A lot has happened.
My grandmother died of cancer 3 weeks ago, and before that I spent the last few weeks at her bedsideSo no work has been done on the house, and when she was in the hospital we lived on takeaways, didnt earn anything and spent a lot.
So my finances arent looking great, not much left in my savings now but Ive started to built it up again the last week or so.
My fiance's job offer never materialised, he has since been offered another part time job which we are waiting to find out the start date. He has plenty to do to keep himself busy for now though.
The kitchen is in place, flatpacks done and oven bought, floor tiles being layed this weekend. Bath and sink are sitting in the bathroom, but the shower is plumbed in and tiled
3 Mortgage payments gone out now, and no OPs unfortunately, maybe next year!Mortgage start date 19 January 2018, end Jan 2043.
