Well, I was doing great until I came home with Rosie from her class, at which point I sat down with a :coffee: and promptly fell asleep for an hour! That meant that I didn't go out shopping until after our evening meal, by which time the greengrocer's where I can get loose F&V was shut, so I had to put up with bringing home more plastic wrappings from MrA1 than are actually necessary :(

DH had washed the outside of all the downstairs windows except the LR, but he has left enormous smears and didn't wipe the sills properly. I think I preferred the spiders' webs...
  • Been quite productive tonight - not used to not having to work in the evenings, it's a very nice feeling!

[STRIKE]Clean windows[/STRIKE] - in living room/diner instead of kitchen - it's open plan so no windows in kitchen!
Household accounts - just about to start now
    [STRIKE]Put away yesterday's ironing[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wash out lunchbox[/STRIKE] and make lunch for tomorrow - does putting it in the dishwasher count as washing it out? Lunch halfway made, have made some slimming world falafels and will do that with a salad

    And a few bonus ones:
    [STRIKE]Clear sides and wipe down[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear all paperwork and send urgent emails I needed to deal with[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Write out mother's birthday card & have it ready to send[/STRIKE] - almost a full week before her birthday, that's not usual for me!

Now to finish off the budgeting, then chill for a while before bed.

Thank you to Natty and Valli for the freds. I'm in with dailies to start with and hopefully more from Thursday - meeting and DS2's drum lesson today, tutoring tomorrow and application writing for OH and tutoring on Wednesday. Also feel like I'm coming down with some lurgy or other - doesn't make for a great week.

Oh bathroom .... my second least favourite room but I know it needs doing so that'll keep me out of mischief tomorrow. Am going out for a ride in the morning so maybe that will motivate me ... who knows!! Night all x

  • Hi
Have been MIA for a while, but having just watched Martin's show and seen the bit about Lisa who got her shopping for just under £2, has prompted me to ask the question, if the items have "use by" dates, is it safe to cook them and then freeze them?
Today's flying has consisted mainly of laundry (both washing & ironing), together with lots of dusting and getting rubbish ready for bin collection on Wednesday - will hopefully explain why tomorrow.

absolutely.. and I am yet to find a piece of meat or a pie that knows the date or the time.. if it is not off it is fine to cook and eat.. trust your senses, they have kept the human race alive for thousands of years.
