Mop recommendations

My kitchen floor is light coloured stone tiles which are textured. We have two dogs so it gets quite dirty and I currently clean it with a steam cleaner, however, it doesn't get into the grooves and I have to do a hands and knees scrub every so often. Does anyone know if there is a type of mop which would get into all the nooks and crannies instead of just skimming the surface? Thank you.

    Nope

I used to have Chinese slate tiles and a cocker spaniel who's paws were like mops soaking up mud outside to deposit on the floor inside

The only way I got them clean were hands and knees with a scrubbing brush, then going over with a mop and clean water to make sure nothing pooled into the grooves

I changed the tiles as soon as we could to plain porcelain, so much easier to clean

Try using a continental style floor scrubber--like a scrubbing brush attached to a broom handle. (They can be bought in hardware stores and some DIY stores.) I use mine to scrub the floor then I fling a floor cloth over it and use the scrubber / floor cloth combination to mop up the water and suds.

It has the same effect as a scrubbing brush on hands and knees but is much easier and quicker.

I don!!!8217;t think a housemaid scrub can be avoided with dogs.

Otherwise it would be e-cloth mop, jobs a good-un.

A Karc3r steamer was the end of conventional mops for me...
