mortgage advice after bankruptcy

hi there hoping for some advice.
My boyfriend went bankrupt in april 2013 (scotland) and is thinking that this will be off his credit report in april 2018? is this correct?
We are thinking of a mortgage.
I have 5 defaults which are on for a couple of years yet but we both have good jobs with good income.
can anyone advise what are the chances of him being able to get a mortgage either with or without me after april?

you need a broker who deals in adverse credit, only they can assess your 'chances' individually"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

No, that is not correct.
Bankruptcy is on the record and that permanently precludes some Lenders from offering you a Mortgage. Your defaults cause another issues in that your history puts off some lenders that would accept your boyfriends history.
You will be fishing in a small pond for lending on a joint basis, particularly above the Border.
He might have wider options on his own.
A good Broker is your first step.I am a Mortgage Broker
