i messed up 3 yrs ago. since i will start work soon in london with good pay i plan on getting mortgage in the next 2 years.
so, if i put deposit of say 100k down on a £160.000 mortgage would any company borrow me the extra £60.000 over say 10 years.
surely any company would know if i was willing to place 100k deposit then im hardly likely to default or i would lose the lot

That level of deposit, 5 years down the line (when you come to make an application) if you can not get high street rates I would be surprised.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You borrow, the company lends!0 -
I don’t think the op has 100k deposit. If so I hope there a legitimate trace for it.
I guess this was a good read
