Advantis Credit Limited- Help!

Hi Everyone,
I know this is a question asked here all the time but I'm not sure what to do!
I've just had a letter from Advantis Credit Limited asking me to confirm this is my new address. They have my name and old address pretty much right and know my new address. Unfortunately they were closed by the time I got the letter so I haven't contacted them yet. I've checked the usual cuplrits for this compnay- DVLA and utilities and all my accounts are up to date.
Should I contact them? Or should i just leave it? I'm pretty confident I don't owe anything. All of my credit that is still active is paid every month and I've never got behind on them. Any advice greatly appreciated, it's starting to ruin my weekend!
Thank you
Logie

Hi,
Could be a mis-trace, or an old debt you had either forgotten about, or were not aware of, might be Logie 144 they are after !!
Best advice, don't phone them, keep a written trail of contact with them, at this moment in time you are under no obligation to answer their questions, but if you want to know what this is all about, you will have to write to them, send the "provit" letter, you will have to confirm your identity in order for them to deal with you, and then its up to them to tell you what the debt is for, and why they believe you are the liable party.

Or you could leave it until they are more confident they have the right person, and contact you with a specific allegation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
