Solar in New Build House

Last year I moved into a brand new build house which came with Solar Panels.
I'm now having great trouble trying to get British Gas to register them for FIT payments as they want an invoice in my name from the company that installed them, which I can't provide as they builders paid for them.
The solar company have provided me with a letter on headed notepaper saying the builder paid in full for them, and as far as they are concerned the panels belong to my house, which I can prove I own.
Are there any other suppliers out there who will accept my application without an invoice in my name, just in my address?
I have all the other paperwork that I think I need.
Thank you.

I'm sorry, when we got our FIT payments sorted. We sent them a letter from the builders showing that the solar panels were ours. But I don't think they asked for an invoice from the solar company. Silly question, but have you said that the solar panels are for a new build house, rather than a new installation?
We did get diddled though, because our builders did the EPC certification after the panels were installed, the rate we get is significantly less than what we should have done.Mortgage Debt £53,879.68 as of 2nd JulyHelp to Buy Equity Loan Debt £26,799Total Debt: £80,678.68 of £133,995 two bed house0 -
I'm the form I ticked new installation, but I also put a note on the paperwork saying it was a new build, and I've replied to them a few times by email saying it's a new build, but I just seem to be getting automated emails back from British Gas where the answer doesn't match what I asked.
I'll try asking some of my new neighbours if I see them this weekend to see what they have done. I was one of the first to move in, but now more people are moving in and every house has solar.0 -

Probably worth giving them a ring, even though it's British Gas, rather than fighting against automation.

If British Gas are being obstructive, why not try a different energy supplier for your FIT payments? You don't have to go with your electricity supplier. We're with Good Energy for our FIT payments and with Pure Planet for our gas and electricity.5.18 kWp PV systems (3.68 E/W & 1.5 E).
