Precise Mortgages

Options
Well we have reserved our new build home after getting a dip through a broker with precise mortgages.
It's with the help to buy scheme.
Both me and my partner earn £26-27k per year, now our credit histories aren't perfect, she has two missed payments on a provident loan but it will be paid off fully in two months. She has £954 on a credit card paid regularly and on time.
I have one default from 2014 for £326 which is satisfied, I have £2000 on one cc and £3500 on another both paid monthly never missed a payment.

The thing that's worrying me is sometimes my mum chucks £50 here and there at me as a treat and also even though I only stop with my partner at her rented house everyday I help pay for her car HP each month and put electric on her prepayment meter.

Scared of getting rejected by precise for this, I'm never in my overdraft as I don't have one but sometimes my missus sometimes goes over by £50 now and again but.

Absolutely bricking it.

What's the source of your 5% deposit?
  • Gifted from my late Grandparents via my mum. We have savings but using that for all solicitor fees and valuation fees.

I imagine your Broker is all over this Marc. Its their job to do the worrying.
    I am a Mortgage Broker

  • Absolutely cacking it, so want to get my missus out of her rented house which has a leaking roof, damp everywhere and a landlord that doesn't give a monkeys.
Even though the mortgage payments will be £100 a month more we will be better off as we are paying so much out in electric and gas to heat this house. £160 for electric and £80 for gas.

He said don't worry we will be fine, but be prepared for them to askbeverything including waist size, they are pain in the backside apperantly.
  • Hi Mark they asked for lots of information from me and it took a while but they didn’t thankfully ask one question about any payments on bank statements etc
  • Hopefully we should be ok then, mb put the default and missed payments on the dip and it came back fine so hopefully should be OK.
Mortgage broker and sales negotiater said stop worrying, a few others on development have used precise and have been fine.
  • They just aren’t quick that’s all :)
  • Hi I’ve just gone through an application through a broker to precise with my other half , he works full time and earns 20k a year and I’m not working , we are on a right to buy , we submitted our application on the 5 th August and just had our mortgage offer yesterday , I didn’t for one minute expect to be offered the mortgage as my ex husband left me with all our existing debts from 2012 which had defaults and a ccj , I’m still paying these debts to this day but our broker told me to write a written statement about it to precise , my other half has a credit card with 950 on and he pays that on time so fingers crossed you get your offer
