Hello, just got a Nationwide AIP through a broker. Are credit searches completed at this stage ? if it worth anything or is a AIP worthless

You should know if your credit history is imperfect.0

Nationwide is a Hard Search at DiP stage. Did it accept?
Sorry to hijack this thread however going through a Nationwide application just now also and i keep seeing that they do a hard credit check at DIP stage. I only have a soft check on file from this. Full application went in on Monday and valuation done Thursday. I have been told by the broker I should have an offer on Tuesday but I still don't see a hard credit check on my Experian report.
I have a pretty clean credit report however I sold my house in November and we are staying at my parents until our new build is complete. I have registered on the electoral roll at my parents address and received the confirmation letter but it says it wont be updated until the 1st of March so I am a bit worried about how Nationwide will view this. I have sent the broker a copy of the confirmation letters in case he needs them.
Just think the credit report thing is strange because I thought it was the first thing they would do.0 -
that is strange, I had a hard and soft search the same day ... Not sure why.
Also on my AIP it said they requested only the latest mortgage statement... Should they not also want payslips and bank statements ?
Did they request any further information with you0 -

Before we started the broker asked for 3 months payslip for my wife, 3 years sa302, 3 years accounts, 3 months bank statements, driving licenses for proof of address.
We originally had a problem before the DIP because I got the figures for a credit card slightly wrong, which is already paid but not updated on the credit report yet so I know they have did some sort of credit check. It just isn't showing on my credit reoprt or some reason.
The broker says everything is progressing fine but still doesn't stop the worry lol.0 -
Yes this worry is very hard. Someone should be able to answer question for you here.
Have you asked broker ?
Also have u updated your credit report, I think you need to click update score etc
Maybe have a look on Noolde / Equifax0 -

I have not asked the broker about the credit report but he says everything is progressing smoothly.
I have updated the report and it shows the soft checks experian does so I think it's strange. Will just need to wait and see if everything is fine.0 -
I applied to NW ten days ago. Only a soft search has been carried out on DIP until now. No hard searches as of yet.0

Just to update what is said previously - I have now checked Noddle and it appears they have done a 'checking credit application' search at the DIP stage. I am assuming this is a hard check but Noddle is not clear on what is classed as a Hard or Soft check.
I read they only used Experian for credit checking so I never thought to check Noddle.0
