Probably not, given that is a reasonable price for a quick sale. But you will have to account for how you have spent that £2000.
personally, I would use it for living costs and not attempt to pay any creditors to avoid being seen as giving preferential treatment to any of them.
Good luck with it allDISCHARGED 12th December 2007:T

I wouldn't be worried about it. It's a sign that you've faced up to your debts and not buried your head in the sand. Let people think what they want, you have to think about No 1 in these situations.

seriously don't worry about it...i've been BR nearly 8mnths now & still not seen it anywhere, it's usually tucked away so tiny in the back of a newspaper somewhere nobody ever bothers seeing itWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

I wouldn't worry about your name in the paper. Do you read through the bankruptcies? I know I don't have the time to - I'm too busy on this forum!

Never saw mine, nor did I meet anyone else that did.
Be a bit carefull if you sell the car - you would be okay if you were selling it 'to raise the money for your bankruptcy' and for 'basic living expenses' but it would be wrong to pay it to any of your creditors, i.e. 'favouring that creditor over others'.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
