Amazon price drop refund policy

Hi
I recently(last month) bought a ps3 bundle from Amazon.co.uk. for £424.98. This included games console, 'free' extra controller, 3 'free' games and a 'free' HDMI cable. Imagine my dismay when I discovered that Sony had dropped it's price by £75, I immediately did a quick search and discovered that Amazon.com offer to refund the difference if your purchase was within 30 days of the price drop(which mine was).
I emailed amazon.co.uk customer sevices who initially tried to fob me off with 'we dont do price match' so I emailed them back saying that I am not looking for price match but a refund. The next day I receive an email informing me that I am to get a refund of £55.
Great except I was expecting an extra £20 so I looked on their website to see if they had only dropped the cost by £55, they had dropped it by £75 but now the controller was £20. I once again emailed them and explaind that when I bought the bundle the controller was free and now I was been charged £20 for a free thing which really means it is no longer free which means the bundle I got is now wrong and I wish to have the status of the 'free' controller put back in place. Anyways to my shock they emailed me the very next day informing me that my card would be credited with the missing £20. I have received all said refunds.
Thought I'd let you know if you bought a ps3 within 30 days(thats prior) of the price drop then get onto customer services and demand a refund because they wont give it to you if you don't ask
It might also be worth trying at other stores as well and other products.
Anyway good luck.
Regards
Mick

Last month I bought the panasonic breadmaker sd254 for £67.99. Last week the same product was £39.99. I sent an email asking for a refund and no problem - got my refund of £28."Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing."0
