    I am over the LTA and have both DB and DC. My commutation rate is of the order of 36 and if I crystallised everything now, my LTA charge would be around 36K. Given that the last scheme to be crystallised is the one that has to pay the LTA charge, I could take a 1K from my DB pension or a 36K hit from the DC. My personal preference would be take a DB hit of 1K rather than a 36K from my DC.
