Since they are not loans, perhaps try searching the savings and investment forum rather than the loan one ?
  • Sounds like every form of investment scam rolled up into one name.

These holiday clubs, timeshares, rentals, caravan park "investments" etc etc are either a con, a ripoff, a scam, or all 3 over 99% of the time.

Considering that there is a decade-old but still open thread about them in an appropriate forum, I would say the answer is yes.

My recommendation is don't look at it as a financial investment.

Instead ask does it provide the holidays you want, when you want them at a price you are willing to pay?
  • We were members for some years - it is NOT a scam.

Had a few good holidays, but as all options are self catering, DIY flights and transfers, we eventually determined it was just as cost effective to book a package holiday.

As an investment it is unlikely to increase in value - however you can will it to your next of kin family.

When we left there was a modest loss based on what had been invested.

An "investment" that is unlikely to increase in value is many people's definition of a scam, even if it is a loose one.

If it was sold to you on the basis that it would increase in value and/or that it would cost less money over time than booking holidays the normal way (without the loss of flexibility) then it certainly sounds like you were scammed.
