Holiday entitlement for part timers

Hi, I am confused about my holiday entitlement, I work 15 hours a week over 4 days (mornings) Tues-Friday, I have been there for 3.8 years and my contract states I am entitled to 20 days holiday, however 3 years ago a new accountant joined the business and after her discussing with the boss changed my entitlement to 16 days, at the time I had a search and couldn't find a definite answer so just accepted it however my mum has questioned it with had has got me thinking again! So am I entitled to 20 or 16?
Does it make a difference that I don't work Mondays so bank holidays don't come in to it??

Op, you are entitled to 5.6 weeks holiday which can include the bank holidays.
5.6 x 4 = 22.4 days holiday.
If a bank holiday falls on one of your working days (eg Good Friday) and you are off then that comes off your entitlement.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -

Everyone is entitled to (the statutory minimum of) 5.6 weeks' holiday a year, which includes bank holidays.
You say you work 15 hours a week, but don't say how your hours are allocated over the 4 days. If you work for exactly the same period every day, then the calculation above will do - you are entitled to 22.4 days, which must be rounded up rather than down.
If you don't work the same number of hours each day, it is more sensible to work out your holiday entitlement in hours. You are entitled to the statutory minimum of 84 hours a year (plus any additional entitlement, pro-rataed, which is given to FT workers)
Just seen your response above, where you think FT workers get 20 days. Yes, they probably do, but this is PLUS bank hols. You are entitled to a proportion of the ordinary holidays they get, plus a proportion of the BH they get, even though your work days are not normally on bank holidays. And of course, some of your work days ARE likely to be BH as Christmas falls on a different day each year, for example.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

If full-timers (that is those working 5 days a week) receive 20 day, they must actually be entitled to 20 days plus 8 bank holidays. Otherwise they would not be getting their statutory entitlement of 5.6 weeks (= 28 days).
As others have said, you are entitled to 22.4 days including any bank holidays that you would otherwise work.
If they say you are entitled to 16 days, that will be equivalent to 4/5 of the 20 that full-time staff get. As they appear to get 8 BHs in addition, you are entitled to 6.4 days as pro rata amount. This calendar year there are 5 bank holidays on a Monday (only Good Friday and Christmas Day and Boxing Day are not). [The number will be different if your holiday year is not Jan to Dec and will be different on different years.] So those 3 non-Monday bank holidays are deducted from the 6.4, leaving you 3.4 days to be added onto those 16, thus giving you 22.4 days.
By the way, they can't round down the 0.4 days but could, if they wished, round up to half a day or a whole one.0
