Backdated pay issue affects pension?

Slightly complicated issue and I'm really wondering if anyone knows where I would be best off looking for advice.

I worked at the BBC, and I strongly suspect that I may have been affected by the pay unfairness that's currently in the news. Now, I left 11 years ago so I don't expect any sort of backdating in terms of actual pay, but I have a final salary pension and it feels unfair to me that my pension entitlement in the future could be affected by being on an unfairly low wage. Since I no longer work for the company, does anyone know who I ought to ask for advice about this issue?

Nobody. This is eleven years ago. Even if your pay was unfair at that time - and actually, the majority of employees were not as this is an issue rearing to highly paid and often individually negotiated contracts - you are far too late to take any legal action.

Expecting one but not the other doesn't make sense - the pension is based on your final pensionable pay, so any potential for adjustment can only lie in changing that pay. The trustees of the pension scheme could not legally alter benefits of a certain group of members on a standard of 'fairness' outside the scheme rules even if they wanted to.
