Apologies if this has been covered but I’m wond ring if anyone can help.
I’m in the middle of a mortgage application. The bank he requested tax calculations which I obtained from the accountant and sent off. Now the broker has advised I need the tax overview.
Went to see accountant who said go online I can print it off, otherwise it could take him two weeks to obtain this for me. I went on hmrc website created username and it says on there I cannot use this service or I may not be enrolled on it. I rang HMRC and they said only way to get it is online or sometimes if I get a letter from the broker to the hmrc they can write to the lender as they work with them.
Now I’m getting slightly agitated. I don’t want this to drag. The bank seems to be taking forever and I can’t afford to waste anymore time.
what is the quickest way to obtain this overview now in my case ? Advise would really be appreciated.

if you only registered, it takes a ?few weeks for them to send an authorisation code to enrol you into self assessments,
If the lender accepts online print offs good, if not, paper copies of SA302 will need to be sent and these take a few weeks to arrive by post
That's all assuming your Self assessment has been submitted by the accountant
I would change your accountant as well, they should have advised you to register for self assessment first thing and give them access to act as an agent. How is your accountant submitting your returns? Post or online??
a broker would have helped here and would requested all these before you even applied for a mortgage, DIY for mortgage application is not for everyone. I presume your self employed?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

If you have an accountant who is supplying the Tax Calculation sheets, they can also supply the Tax Year Overviews.
All the latter does is confirms the tax shown as due on the TC has been paid.

As stated, your Accountant should be able to download your Tax Year Overview from HMRC and should not be putting it back on you - its part of what you pay them for.
HMRC will no longer post out as of last year.

‘Although we submit electronically, we cannot access data from HMRC for individuals unless they have an individual login, which we have requested and takes up to 2 weeks for HMRC, who will send to yourselves.’
This is the reply from my accountant.
Apparently I have the sa302s but need the tax overviews. Surely there’s an easier way or now do I have to wait ?0 -
Surprised that your Accountant does not submit electronically (sounds like quill pen territory)
You will need to wait for your Gateway log ins.
Bit baffled why a Broker would submit the case without the TYO's to hand.I am a Mortgage Broker

!!!8216;As explained previously, we do not have individual client login, rather are registered as an agent, therefore allows us to file only and not to access individual records, as we do not require this facility.
However, I have requested a login yesterday which will be sent to you by post, or if you cannot wait so long, then kindly ring HMRC and request them to post to you.
We are unable to furnish you with any more information on the matter!!!8217;

You learn the hard way regarding finding a good accountant, you get what you pay for generally. The cheap can and will embezzle money and I have seen this"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
