Good afternoon everyone,
8 please Shaggy
Arkers x0 -
Stressy time of the year I think. I was very tempted last night to have a s*d it moment but know it will be hard to find AF days next week - without fuss anyway so resisted.
Glad you are feeling better Maman. Hope everyone else is ok too
Much better today thanks.
I'm trying to resist s*d it moments/days. Not because of feeing stressed because I'm wondering when I'll decide it's officially Christmas if that makes sense. It's not just the booze though, it's when to tell myself it's alright to eat crisps or chocolate marzipan when I'm not even hungry!:D
I'm AF today (it could be the last )as I know I'll have to drive this evening.
8/10 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -
9/10 for today please Shaggy - I am hoping to make target tomorrow as I finish work on Friday and know that there won't be many more AF days after that this year. That sounds quite bad but I don't go silly - it is just that I will probably have a little 'tipple-of-something' most days over the holidays0

12/16. The silver lining of being ill - no alcohol.
Next drink is Friday if better. Although I found myself making excuses to have a s*d it day. Terrible when I know I already feel rough. Gave myself a talking to instead.Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
19/21 for me today please.
Have been thinking about plans over Christmas - I have a few days to play with as per my goal and have decided to go for a couple of drinks on certain days, but limit myself firmly and stick to a majority of AF days.
- Friday I have an informal do with friends, planning on 1 drink then switching to soft drinks
- Xmas Day my lovely boss presented me with a bottle of fizz, so will share that with DH then switch to the nice AF fizz I found in Aldi
- NYE will have a couple
Will see how I get on with this moderate approach, if it all goes t*ts up I'll have to revise my plans!0 -
I've updated #3683 for the monthly challenge.
Managed to jump on the wagon last night...but it was difficult...but very necessary....
Shouting out for January targets, it's a bit early but I know things can go very quiet on here....and I get really busy....What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Roll Up, Roll Up!
It's the Monthlly Challenge !Set Your TARGET
31 Days up for grabs!
Everyone Welcome! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
I'm hoping to catch up with the thread at some point between Christmas and the New Year, but I'm not holding my breath. The only cards I've written are to friends on one of the other threads on MSE - not a single one to friends or family in the real world. No decorations up, nothing. Fortunately I've been buying different brands of tealeaves for OH all through the year since he found out that teabags contain plastic, so he doesn't want to use them any more. (I bought his a diffuser as soon as he said no more teabags, but most 'tea leaves' are in fact 'tea dust' which just pours out of the holes.) I'm up to about 12 boxes and they're all wrapped, but that's it, nothing else has been bought. We're hosting Christmas as well, for the first time in about 12 years. We can't bring the real one in because the kittens will pull it over and that'll mean a lot of carpet scrubbing, which I simply don't have time for. We both picked up a load of storm-damaged branches yesterday to make huge Christmas stars we're going to have this year instead of a tree, but that's yet another job that has to be fitted in somehow. Must. Get. Organised.
So, my lovely Cutting Down Friends, it's quite likely that I won't be posting for the next few days, until things calm down. I hope you all have a lovely, pain-free Christmas and New Year and that we see each other on the other side in 2019. Thank you everyone who contributes to the thread, particularly Baileys, Cathy Bird and Shaggy, for keeping up with the dates and scores. Without you it wouldn't.
Merry thing, everyone!
PS Still AF and intending to stay so.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning all, 15/21 for me today please.
Shaggy, could I have a goal of 21 for January please?
Get well soon Cuppa Tea!
Hey and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too, Honey Bear - without you the thread wouldn't be itself either xx0 -
Hi Shaggy, please could I go for 14 in January - Thank you!0
