Capital Gains and Mortgage

Hi

I'm wondering if capital gains counts towards income when applying for a mortgage.

On my SA302 it has my total income from my work but the figure doesn't include what I earnt from capital gains.

    Capital gains tax is a tax you pay when you sell a property.
    You can if you wish pay some of the debt down ( if allowed )

    If you mean from investments then the answer is no. Just because you have made gains in the past does not mean you are going to make them in future years.

    Lenders are interested in income, not capital gains.

    What nature of your business generates capital profit rather than trading profit.
