Best place to sell Silver Jewellery and Cutlery?

My Sister wants to sell a lot of the above, I don't know the make but believe it is high end stuff, what would the options be to get the best price on these items?

Bricks and mortar auction house which specialises in collectables/antiques etc, but will have to pay commission. B and M jewellers who buy old silver, but will only get "buying-in" price or scrap value. EBay (or similar), but watch out for scammers.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
