Please recommend a Hair Curler for me.

I want to buy one of those hair curlers which take your hair inside and then release it curly. I bought one a couple of years ago when my hair was long and it worked well but then I had my hair cut short and head no use for it so I sold it on ebay as I had decided never to grow my hair long again.
But in true 'me' style I have changed my mind and now want to buy one again.
The one I had before cost me about £80 new but when I have looked on ebay now there seem to be a lot around the £20 to £30 mark.
I don't seem to be able to use the ordinary curling tongs very easily, I always look 'half finished'!
Just wondered if anyone had bought one of the cheaper ones and found it ok or rubbish. Don't want to pay £80 again if not necessary but there is no point in one of the cheaper ones if they are not any good.

Do you mean one of those hot air brushes where you push a button and it rotates?Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

Thanks for the reply. I don't mean the brushes. I mean those like the Babyliss Pro Curl. They look like straighteners with a large circular clasp at the end. Your hair is sucked into them and you hold for a few seconds then release and it comes out curly.
There are a lot of cheaper makes on Ebay but I don't want to waste 20-30 quid on something rubbish.0
