Requested Credit agreement

Hi, I had written to an old debt and asked for the credit agreement. They have now sent me a printout form with just very basic details on it (the original application was done on line). Is this what I should be expecting? There is no signature or terms just really name and address and employment details on a print out.

Also what are me next steps.

Many thanks once again for your help.

    Hi,

How old is the debt, what was it for ?

A recon agreement is acceptable if :

    (A) It contains the correct details of the account and the debtor,

    (B) It is legible.

There is no requirement within the CCA for a document to bear a signature.

    OK,
    In a nutshell.

A correct response would be an agreement containing your name, address, various other personal info, creditors name, address, terms and conditions the account will be run under, also (for pre April 2007 agreements) the "prescribed terms" applicable to the account, eg, the credit limit, how and when to make payment, default charges applicable, interest rate etc etc.

Also it must be a legible copy, you must be able to read it clearly.
If any or all of that is missing, then its non compliant.

So it is all legible looks like its just been printed out but it does not include details on how to make payment or default charges applicable or the interest rate but all the other things you've stated are on it.

Is there another letter I should respond with?

    Thanks again
