    thank you - after months of dithering I have bought a pioneer 109 dvd re-writer, and used this code! (now got to work out what media I need to burn - all these different 'r' formats!

    The datawrite printables are good, partiuclar the offer I posted earlier this week where you get free discs if you buy Epson R300 inks @ £8.99 for 7 inks.

    should i get the +r, -r, etc? instend to use to copy clips from pc to play in standalone dvd player..

    Get DVD-R mate, much better for most applications.

    These days i dont think it matters so much.
    With the 109 i used either the titaniums or the optima discs.( both the datawrite - format)

    However, one thing i will say, i didnt have a lot of luck with the 109 ( the discs above gave best results)
    Find out what firmware you have ( the latest being 1.40) You may need to flash it.
