Quickreads 2008

Time to register for the Quick Reads 2008 campaign. I just received a communication about it through the post today. You can register through the website:

www.niace.org.uk/quickreads/user/weneedyou.php

As well as posters, the packs contain mugs, pens and bookmarks

  • Thanks for this, violetta. Do you know if you need to re-register if you registered last year?

Thanks for this, violetta. Do you know if you need to re-register if you registered last year?

I expect that you do, since I registered each time, both last year and this year, and they have sent me a registration form out inviting me to register for 2008.

I think they will want to know if you are interested from year to year, as some people could move house or not wish to take part, etc. in subsequent years. Better safe than sorry, in any event.

  • Thanks - didn't want to double-order. :)
  • Each pack is suitable for 10 learners and you will receive a pack of posters, bookmarks, pens and mugs nearer the launch in March 2008.
I think this is nice idea for local schools and organisations.

  • Brilliant - I have registered my less able classes for these and hopefully they will use the pens etc in school and could be the start of getting them engaged in the quick reads section of the lib.

    Thank you
  • Thanks for taking the time to post. Also posted a few days ago by violetta:

Thanks I have registered again for this as the freebies came in really handy
    for school.
  • Oops - I am really sorry. I did do a search on "quick reads" and nothing came up. I have done it again now and Violettas post only shows up if I search "quickreads" as one word. I will see if I can get post deleted.
  • No problem. I wanted to let you know and to acknowledge the OP but it's hard to do without sounding like the forum police. ;) Since my reply will bump this thread up again, I'll bump the other one as well and hopefully one of the mods will merge the two. Anyway, better to post again in error than not at all. :)
