Yorkshire Building Society - accuracy of calculator

Does anyone have a mortgage with Yorkshire Building Society, and if so, how accurate is their online borrowing calculator?
Reason I ask is that the amount they may be willing to lend is extortionately higher than what others appear to be willing to lend. (e.g. most lenders are around 220k-270k but YBS seems to be closer to 450k)

Im guessing that the maximum borrowing would be based on having a low Loan To Value (LTV) and all of your figures looking good - expenditure etc.0

Ive been with YBS for over 3 years, the calculator on their website is not playing at the moment, but from memory they offered 10% more than the calculator online which was already more generous than other banks. I had healthy savings and they were flexible. I can only recommend them so far no issues whatsoever, they made an admin mistake during the application and credited my account with £50 as appology without me complaining. Give them a call or book an appointment in branch, give them your details and then you will know how much they are realistically prepared to offer based on your individual circumstances. Good luckNever trust any stats you didn't fudge yourself ;o)
