Discharge notice in the Gazette

I received my Certificate of Discharge recently and it mentions the option of having the discharge notice put in the London Gazette.
I realise this does not change anything regarding the bankruptcy.
Is this something I should be asking for? I am not self employed if that is a consideration.

Thank you.

Hey, sorry i cant help but i have recently been discharged and wondered how you got the certificate? Did you have to pay? Hope you dont mind me asking, cheers!
  • not sure about the Gazette but you can get your discharge certificate for free by emailing this address
    Discharge.Queries <Discharge.Queries@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk>
you need to give them the details of the bankruptcy and your national insurance number.

they will then email back with the certificate. this can take up to 15 working days

Discharge in the Gazette makes very little difference to be honest...and it would be down to YOU to arrange as well as costs of printing in the Gazette...once you have your proof of discharge have a read of the credit file clean up sticky at the top of this forum and you'll be fine
