That's a s0d if you can't even contact them, wibblewibble. Have you tried again since you posted? I have just tried the Contact Us button and it works for me. If they block that when they suspend your a/c, it is not much use, really, is it?

I found this in the faqs:

    https://support.prolific.ac/article/78-account-on-hold

but it is not much help. Only thing I can think of to suggest is you try their Twitter/fb.

  • I requested a cashout for £49 yesterday and all seemed to be fine - today I went to check my account and it says my account is on hold as is my cashout! It says "if there are discrepancies in my prescreening or verification" to update them or contact them. There aren't any discrepancies that I can see, same verified email I have always used, and I can't update anything as it won't let me! I also can't use their "contact us" link it simply doesn't open. Not sure where to go with it to find out whats going on.

Mine was on hold a couple of weeks ago but the contact button worked fine. It was over a weekend so sorted out by Monday morning, they said my account had been flagged but couldn't understand why and unflagged it. Second time it's happened to me now. Hope you get it sorted try mailing support@prolific.ac.

I have eventually managed to get into the contact us form by going round the houses - it still wont open on my dashboard or on the hyperlink thats in the message on every page I can access. Hopefully they will now get back to me at some point.

Lets hope its the same for me - no idea why I could have been flagged - I was away on holiday all last week and didnt log in or do any surveys at all.

Yeah, babe. Given my issues with technology, I have had no problems with them; never ID ones. Those I did were quickly resolved. I have contacted them two or three times when my haplessness required, even spoken to them on the phone (UK based, refreshingly, or at least English-sounding)

As long as I can avoid paying fees, however long I have to wait between cash-outs, I will continue to use Circle. If they start to charge fees, I will reconsider.

How is your course going, AprilLady? Well, I hope.

Oh ok, I thought you couldn't cash out at one point because they asked for ID you didn't have? Or maybe I was thinking of someone else.

College isn't going great at the moment I'm afraid. So tempted to give it all up right now. Thanks for asking though.

Hmm, haven't heard back from the researcher about the study I got with an error code on the 4th June. Have emailed them again, but bet they have my data and won't pay me! It was a £1.25 one too.

Yippee just had a reply from Kendra saying she couldn't see why I'd been flagged so she has reinstated my payment and unlocked my account.

I think the ID issues were someone else's; I'd have been bvggered, otherwise but they seem to realise I am me. I have contacted them a few times; don't know whether that makes the slightest difference to them but I still think speaking to an actual human tops electronic ID-ing. After all, anyone could nick your bank card/whatever and pretend to be you on the internet, innit?

Aww. What about all the hard work you have already put into your college work, AL? You can do it! :)

Glad to hear it, wibble. This seems to happen to quite a few people.
