A Rogue Researcher List is a good idea. Am guessing that Prolific must have stats on Researchers and Participants and those that don't pay must surely be flagged in some way. My survey has not been checked yet but all participants must be in the same boat.CheckDigit said:
Yeah, I sent a message also. If they don't pay out I might contact Prolific as it was very deceptive to put a link with the completion code and then redirect you somewhere else. As a side point, it might be a good idea to list rogue researchers on here somewhere so we can all see who we should avoid in the future.PetitePeche said:
I got the same, I've replied to say the link took me to the sign in page.CheckDigit said:Just got this...
Dear participant, I am rejecting your submission to my study "Video Interview New Competency" (https://app.prolific.co/studies/5e81f7c06f674201c4344c06). Unfortunately, you did not submit a completion code to confirm that you successfully completed my study, nor do I appear to have any data associated with your Prolific ID. Please contact me if you wish to contest this rejection. Apologies and regards, Abhishek Singhania0 -
Did anyone get a completion code for this? Mine returned a no code at the end.CheckDigit said:Study of Daily Personal & Interpersonal Experiences B

A rogue researcher list is perhaps useless. The researcher who was reported for the underpaid longitudinal study was first temporarily banned by Prolific then permanently banned. He then just rejoined under a different name (and presumably different email address) and created another study which was just as bad (and underpaid again) as the first one.0

Ah, so did I...just realised that there were 2 versions. And, yes, mine paid £2.58 as well. Do you have the completion code by any chance?littlegreenant said:

The "Short or Long" game - Round 2
Hosted by ens.fr£2.5030 minutes £5.00/hr 219 places remaining
Did anybody else get round 2 of this? I just tried to start it now but got this message:-
If you have reached this page, you have either decided to not complete this study, or you have provided information inconsistent with your Prolific pre-screening responses. Please return your submission on Prolific by selecting the 'Stop without completing' button.
I'm (fairly) sure I didn't press anything wrong though and just pressed Space bar to start the study.0 -
It worked OK for me, although the text was quite a dark grey on a black background so it was very difficult to read, especially when I got to the questionnaire bit at the end.Viksnco said:The "Short or Long" game - Round 2

Did you press space bar to start? That's all I did before I got that message, wondering if I didn't read the first page properly?olliebean said:It worked OK for me, although the text was quite a dark grey on a black background so it was very difficult to read, especially when I got to the questionnaire bit at the end.0
