Absolutely, and I have had it work exactly like that. I and have noticed in the past the email confirming the approval is slightly different if it's approved automatically. This one started :-Your response for Investment Research has been accepted by the researcher SRA Research!

Honestly, I don't mind if it was Prolific or the researcher at least it's been paid:D

I do find Prolific very fair in this respect. I would bet good money that researchers get emailed reminders if they have outstanding studies to approve.

In this study you will be asked to identify the words "yes" and "no" as quickly as possible, and to answer simple questions.

You had to click A for no, L for yes depending on what it said after the statement.
I didn't realise until the end that you had to click A or L when it came up X and not X!
I said that in my feedback at the end so not sure I will get paid for it but it was really confusing. Also not 12 minutes like he said and not a short questionnaire lol
Or maybe I'm just dumb

Image Rating Experiment c11-15, £1.51 for 18 minutes - I clicked on this one and was apparently accepted, then when I clicked to start the survey I got "This experiment is currently full. Please cancel the task on Prolific so as not to affect your reputation." - with no way to cancel other than to stop without completing.


1) Will this, in spite of what it says, affect my reputation?
2) Are they allowed to do this? My gut says no, but should I complain to Prolific about it?

Similar just happened to me. I got accepted for the following study

I i got the exact same message you got.
"This experiment is currently full. Please cancel the task on Prolific so as not to affect your reputation."

I have raised a ticket because i feel it is odd as once accepted it means we should be able to complete the study at least.

That's good. Hopefully then this should be approved automatically this weekend.
