Scoos me, as a newcomer to PA, I can't work out why these regular updates of available surveys are shown here.

If there's a survey available to me (which, obviously, are the only ones I'm interested in), I would have found it on my PA account homepage; none of these were, I imagine they are all tailored to your individual profile and only offered if they fit it?

    Can someone clarify?

Yep. Keeps telling me it's not available while I have an uncompleted submission. PITA. Have advised PA as their site should not have allowed me to begin a submission I am not allowed to start, imo. Now my place has gone if it comes back :0(

Quite a lot of them have a broad range of demographics that they're interested in (e.g. UK, over 18, voted in last election) so there may be more than one person that looks here that's eligible. I think now most have a plug in to alert to surveys it's less useful, but before that it would be a reminder to check to see if I was eligible.

I think people do broadly use their common sense - if the study wants the opinions of a 5'3" mother of two with a missing limb who works for KFC, it doesn't get posted. If it says it wants over 18s from the UK, there's a bigger chance that someone else will also be eligible.

For example, I'm about to participate in a distorted speech "2a" - so maybe even if you're not a close enough demographic to me to be "2a" I bet there's others out there.

@Biggles - We also discuss issues with studies, which you would know if you had bothered to read even a couple of pages of this thread. Occasionally we advise each other as to how we would deal with an issue. I would not have found out about Circle without the help of these posters. You are under no obligation to be here.
