Anyone else get rejected from the Corporate perceptions II survey good job it was only for 84p

    I did, my first rejection!
I know I answered one question wrongly, as soon as I'd clicked the button I realised, but it was too late. Seems a bit harsh.

    Mine is still awaiting review!

Mine too. If it is rejected, I will wish to know the reason why.

I have a feeling I answered one wrong too - time will tell!

Mine has been rejected too :(

I have a feeling it was the question about where the company was based. I couldn't remember and guessed UK.

That's the one I wasn't sure about too. When you're asked to read a particular paragraph but don't know what bits of it they're going to quiz you on, it's not always easy to take in everything! I went for UK too.

Darn! Y'all are right, I could not remember either; I guessed "Europe, country not specified" so it was probably in the US. Groan. First one in far too long.

I guessed UK too and thought at the end it was probably US. Mine is still awaiting review. But I think it's a bit harsh to reject people just for getting something wrong. I remember doing these comprehension tests at school and you always had the passage in front of you, so it's a bit much to expect us to remember everything. I think we should all complain about the rejections.

    Seconded...
  • I did that study as well, I think I put UK, but I've not been rejected yet. For those that consider they've been unfairly rejected, it may be worth pointing the researcher to PA's recent blog post on 'how to improve data quality' which says:

7.Implement attention checks (aka Instructional Manipulation Checks or IMCs). These are best kept super simple and fair. “Memory tests” are not a good attention check, nor is hiding one errant attention check among a list of otherwise identical instructions!

Almost every attention check I have come across does exactly that. Sometimes I seriously wonder just how connected with reality these "researchers" are. I suspect they all inhabit ivory towers so need "research" just to find out how human beings think... Perhaps this is all just part of the alien invasion; pity they don't pay a damn' sight more, huh?
