Mine doesnt last very long but thats only because it tastes too good! I made my wedding favour fudge over a month in advance (had to stick the jar shut so I wouldnt eat it) and it was fine and I think it would keep much longer than that, although that wasnt the chocolate version so it may be different.

  • ohhhh Emma....that looks sooooo lovely
  • Emms do you bother with the sugar thermometer?? I haven't got one and wondered how important it was. I can't actually make this though because my saucepans are all rubbish! Hence the reason I wanted to try the non cook one lol. Suppose I could 'borrow' a decent one from my mum!!

No I dont have a sugar thermometer. I tried to take pics throughout to show what it looks llike when it needs to be poured but I was doing it myself and it turned to ready so quickly that I didnt get a chance. My pots arent the best either. You should really use a thick bottomed one so it doesnt burn. Mine has a few wee burnt bits in it but you dont really notice it when its set.

My mum reckons it keeps for months. She said I would have no bother making it up now for xmas. Ive never kept any that long before cause I always eat it lol. Ive just got it stored in an air tight container on top of the kitchen cupboard so that I cant reach it!
