earning british pounds abroad living in UK

Options
Hello there members,

I'm hoping someone on this forum can shed some light for me.

Long story short:

A) I have a seller in Brazil that wants to sell me aviation airplane parts (light aircraft)
B) I have a buyer in Northern Cyprus (recognised only by Turkey) that wants to buy the parts from me.

1) I live in the UK and will be going self-employed sole trader soon.
2) I will be personally selecting and buying light airplane parts in Brazil in cash by myself.
2) I will be making my profit in British Pounds Sterling in cash personally in Northern Cyprus once delivered.

I would like to apply for a UK mortgage in the near future and would like to know whether my business nature or location (money made abroad) will have any implications on my application?

Kind Regards,
Ken

  • I'll be paying my tax on my profits to the United Kingdom where I reside and is my domicile.

Carrying around large sums of cash may well raise issues. Not the normal method of conducting trade these days. You may find your activities attracting a lot of interest from banks and customs officials.
