Claiming back a Fee

Just been charged £25 for arranging my own insurance on a new mortgage product. Bearing in mind what has gone on with bank charges and general FSA guidelines (is it resoanable to charge for such a thing), do you think I have a case to claim this fee back?
Any jargon that I should include in my complaint letter will be gratefully received.

The short answer is: no, you cannot claim this fee back.Gone ... or have I?0 -
None at all.
The lender is charging the fee for administration involved in checking that your own building insurance is suitable to cover the property they own.
You will not be successful in trying to claim the fee back, it is not a penalty.0
